New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, March 21, 2019:

  • March 20, 11:24 a.m. – Kyle Jacob Bailey, 30, Heltonville, Ind., was arrested on a Writ of Attachment. His bond was set at $500 cash only. He posted $500 cash and was released later the same day.

  • March 20, 11:41 p.m. – Ronald William Gray Jr., 45, Mitchell, Ind., was arrested on two warrants, both issued for failure to appear, both in cases involving domestic battery, one a misdemeanor, the other a felony. In each case, his bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
