Christopher Steven Stahl

Christopher Steven Stahl, 52, of Bloomfield, passed from this life, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1972 in Vincennes, Indiana. Chris married Beth (Todd) Stahl on August 3, 2021.

Chris was a member of Worthington American Legion Post #106, Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #84, Greene County Shrine Club (Past President 2009), Sullivan County Shrine Club, Zorah Shrine Temple and a very proud member of the International Order of the Wobblin Possums. He joined the Bloomfield Fire Department in 1989. He then became a member of the Richland/ Taylor Fire Department, worked at Wayne Township Fire Department for 10 years and then Richland Fire Department. In 2022, he was appointed fire chief at the Bloomfield Fire Department, during which time, they got a new ladder truck and fire station. Chris was an Arson Investigator for the State of Indiana and had also worked as an EMT for the Bloomfield Fire Department. Chris was the owner/operator of Stahl’s Quality Meats and also worked as an Infrastructure Project Manager over Public Works at NAVFAC at Crane Naval Base with 32 years of service.

Family left to cherish the memories of Chris include: his wife, Beth Lynn Stahl; sons: Dylan Stahl, Luke (Jerrica) Landis and Jacob (Heather) Landis; daughters, Sydney (Mitch) Stahl, Abby Stahl and Bailey Stahl; grandchildren, Kayden Landis, Elaina Landis, Evan Landis, Kylie Davis, Skyler Davis, Kinley Davis and Summer Davis.

Chris was preceded in death by his Grammy, Nancy Stahl.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Mike Toon and Mike Abrams officiating. Chris will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2 and from 12 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Shrine Club or Bloomfield Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
