New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, May 8, 2024:

May 6, 9:28 AM, Miranda Lee Miller, 33, Newberry, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Special Deputy Trista Myers was the arresting officer. 

May 6, 2:11 PM, Chase William Meade, 40, Washington, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Zach Mead was the arresting officer. 

May 7, 12:03 AM, Jordan Nicholas Doane, 34, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant for direct contempt of court. His bond was set at $500 cash only. He was released later the same day after posting $500. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Special Deputy Ted Holley was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
