May 8, 1:34 PM, Misty Dawn Knight, 31, Westphalia, was arrested on a warrant for possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/saliva, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/saliva, and criminal trespass. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Zach Mead was the arresting officer. 

May 8, 4:14 PM, James Lee Hurst, 55, Lewis, was arrested on a warrant for theft. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Zach Mead was the arresting officer.

May 8, 9:03 PM, Drake Joshua English, 19, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Michael Stanley was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
